I took these photographs of a red squirrel in 2006, at Skygarth Farm, Temple Sowerby, Penrith, Cumbria, UK. Sheila Robinson put nuts out on a table just outside the dining room window at breakfast time, and this squirrel duly obliged us with a visit.

Loved the red squirrel – my son has a lovely shot of one in a Leipzig park near where he lives. Wish we still had them around here rather than the greys who come and eat all the birdseed I put out!
