Pyrausta Aurata Moth & Gatekeeper Butterfly

Looking at a Gatekeeper butterfly in the garden, I noticed a much smaller, but equally beautiful moth close by on the same plant. I managed to get these photographs.

Swallows & Brimstone Butterfly

I’ve added two new pages today. The first is photographs of some swallows preening themselves on wires outside the Staunton Arms at Staunton-in-the-Vale in Nottinghamshire. The other shows a female Brimstone butterfly feeding from phlox flowers in our garden.

Black-tailed Skimmer Dragonfly

Jay, Oystercatchers, Blue Tits and a Gentian
