I noticed a Gatekeeper butterfly (also known as the Hedge Brown) in the garden one afternoon, and went over to look at it. To my surprise I discovered that it had landed next to a much smaller moth. They both stayed in the same place for long enough for me to get these photographs. From books and the internet I found that the moth is Pyrausta aurata (no common name as far as I know).
