Goosanders on the River Wharfe

A very enjoyable couple of days spent in Wharfedale included a very pleasant walk along the River Wharfe upstream of Grassington. A pair of goosanders was quite unconcerned that we were close by, and we were able to watch them for about twenty minutes. Some of the resulting photographs are posted on goosanders page.

Managed two walks last weekend: one from Hoveringham to Gunthorpe; the other the spring walk organised by Bulcote Social. Mute and Black Swans

After a very pleasant lunch at the Bromley Arms at Fiskerton on Saturday, we walked along the Trent to Hazleford Ferry. On the way there and back I photographed a group of mute swans and a single black swan.
